FIS Fiber Optic Mechanical Splices hold fiber with a self-gripping clamshell design. As an option, these unique mechanical splices ALSO allow you to use cyanoacrylate adhesive (e.g. Super Glue) to achieve a superior pull strength of 1.5 lbs.
These fiber optic mechanical splices fit into any Fibrlok style splice tray, accommodate 125µm clad fiber (single mode or multimode) and have a typical loss of .2dB. These fiber optic mechanical splices are also available in our new FIS Mechanical Splice Restoration Kit that includes 6 FIS Mechanical Splices, Jacket/Buffer Stripper, Field Cleaver, Adhesive, Optic Prep Wipes and Instructions.
